About Paul

Paul has lived, worked, and served in the South Whidbey community for 29 years.
He is the friendly business owner cutting hair at Paul’s & Company in Langley Village. Paul started his business in 1978 and has served the communities of Clinton, Langley and Freeland.  As a successful small businessman, Paul has also created and managed commercial real estate ventures on South Whidbey.

Paul is a proven leader with years of community service. After chairing the successful Say Yes for Langley property tax campaign in 2005, Paul was appointed to the Langley city council in 2006. Paul’s skills were immediately tapped as the city liaison and lead negotiator on the Langley Marina transfer to the Port of South Whidbey.

Paul was elected to serve for 17 years on the South Whidbey School District board from 1978-1995, serving five years as chairman. When Paul left the board, the high school library was named after him to honor his years of service. Paul was involved in the early growth of the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA), serving as a board member from 1996-2003, and as the board chairman for five years.
